PFT LEAK LOCATION HAS MANY BENEFITS OVER TRADITIONAL METHODS
Traditional methods of locating faults within the gas and fluid filled cable network were incredibly time consuming and costly. Over the years, other location methods have been trialled but have not been fully successful.

Smaller Leak
Rates.
Small leaks can often prove tricky to find using other methods and are sometimes just left to develop. Using PFT, we can detect leaks as small as 25L per month, drastically minimising any environmental impact.
Non
Invasive.
Our techniques mean no excavation needs to be done until the time comes to repair the fault. Our engineers will mark the site to dig on the ground, and it is typically within 1 meter of the leak.
Less
Downtime.
With alternative methods of locating leaks, such as Freezing, the cable must be de-energized to preserve its safety. Using PFT, we can 'Tag' the circuit whilst it is live.
